A finance department
of one.

A short note on why we're building this — and how we plan to keep it sharp.

We started Fintroller because finance professionals in India were drowning in work that software should have solved a decade ago.

Every quarter, somewhere in this country, a finance team reconciles GSTR-2B against their books at 11 PM. They cross-check 47 line items. They file TDS the next morning. Three days lost. Then the next quarter, three days again. Then the year-end. Then the audit.

The pieces of this work are fundamentally automatable — matching numbers, formatting files, generating reports, tracking deadlines. But the tools available to Indian finance teams either ignore the local complexity (American SaaS), or treat the human as a data entry clerk (legacy ERPs).

Fintroller is the third option. It's an AI agent that does the work — reads your books, reconciles against GSTR-2B, prepares filings, queues payments, audits the ledger — and asks you to review when you're ready. It runs locally where it can; it connects to cloud systems where it must. It treats you, the finance professional, as the person in command.

We're not the first to try this. We hope to be the last that needs to.

— The Fintroller team

Principles

Six things we believe.

I

The agent works, the human decides.

Software shouldn't ask permission for everything; it shouldn't decide for everything either. Fintroller does the legwork; you stay in command.

II

Built for India, not localised to it.

Indian compliance is its own world — GST, TDS, ROC, EPF, ESI, MSME. Reports, formats, dates, festival weeks. We start there.

III

Numbers you can trust absolutely.

Every reconciliation, every filing, every payment is auditable. Show the working. Show the source. No black boxes.

IV

Privacy as the default.

Tally data stays on your machine. Cloud ERP data flows over the same connections you already trust. We never resell, never train on your books.

V

Slow software.

We move quickly to ship; the product moves slowly on screen — measured, restrained, trustworthy. No bouncy springs. No glow. No noise.

VI

The long view.

We expect you to use Fintroller for a decade. The price you sign at is the price you renew at. The product gets better, not louder.
